Личностно-ориентированный подход при подготовке к ОГЭ по английскому языку

Цель урока: формировать у учащихся основополагающие навыки и умения англоязычного общения, создать условия для осознания и осмысления учебной информации, ее применения в новой учебной ситуации.

Задачи урока:

  • образовательные: закрепить и обобщить знания учащихся по теме «Австралия»: расширить кругозор по англоязычному страноведению, расширить знания об основных фактах истории, географии, природы Австралии; повторить грамматическую тему – be going to; активизировать употребление тематической лексики.
  • развивающие: развить умения учащихся анализировать и обобщать знания, способствовать развитию коммуникативных умений (аудирования, говорения, чтения, письма); развить языковую память, логическое мышление, внимание, воображение, самостоятельность и самоконтроль и т.д.
  • воспитательные: способствовать воспитанию у учащихся духовно-нравственных ценностей, уважение и интерес к культуре других стран.
  • здоровьесберегающая: предупреждать переутомление учащихся путем смены деятельности.

Форма урока: комбинированный урок.

Тип урока: урок обобщения и систематизации.

Оборудование: раздаточный материал; ТСО (экран, проектор, компьютер).

 

Ход урока:

Огранизационный момент – приветствие, введение в тему, постановка цели и задач урока.

Why do people travel? – ученики отвечают на вопрос с опорой на языковые клише. (Слайд 2)

What country are we going to speak about? – ученики строят предложения, называют страну. (Слайд 3-22)

Australia Today

1) Australia is situated in the Southern Hemisphere between the Pacific and the Indian Oceans. It is an island, a continent and a country which is full of strange and wonderful places, unusual animals and has interesting culture. It is the largest island in the world and at the same time it’s the smallest (but oldest) continent. It is still a monarchy and the Queen of England is also the Queen of Australia. But now it is an independent state.

2) More than half of the territory of Australia is a desert. In some places it sometimes doesn’t rain for years! The driest and the hottest place is the Simpson Desert where the temperature can be more than 50 degrees above zero in summer. You know in Australia everything is the other way round. Hot winds blow from the north. Cold winds blow from the south. Summer starts in December, winter starts in June. So Christmas and New Year in Australia are celebrated in summer and January is the hottest month.

3) Canberra, the capital of Australia, is the newest city of all. It is very quiet. There are lots of trees and a big lake in the centre. Sydney is the oldest city of Australia. It was founded in 1788. The first settlers of this city were British prisoners who were sent to this wild land. Now Sydney is the largest city in the country. The second largest city, Melbourne, was once the capital of Australia. Tourists are very much interested in Coober Pedy, a small town where people live under the ground because their houses are situated in the rocks. Tourists can also stay at underground hotels there.

4) The Australians do different kinds of sports and even have their own kind of football. It is called “Aussie rules”. The game is unique. It is played by two teams of 18 players on an oval field with an oval ball, like a rugby ball. But the ball can be passed in lots of ways: kicked, hit with the hand and carried.

5) Among the unusual animals of Australia there are the kangaroos, the emu, the koala, the echidna, the platypus. They live only in this country. The symbols of Australia are the kangaroo and the emu, a big bird that cannot fly. They can be seen on the state emblem of Australia. There are 60 kinds of kangaroo in Australia. The biggest one is the red kangaroo which can be more than 2 metres tall and weighs 90 kilograms. More than 100,000 crocodiles live in the seas and rivers of northern Australia. They are dangerous as they can attack people.

6) There are 700 kinds of eucalyptus in Australia. Some of them are so strong that they can grow even after fires!

7) The food in Australia is also unusual. You can find a kangaroo pie, a crocodile steak or a smoked ostrich.

8) The Australians can be proud of the famous people who were born in Australia, such as Mark Alan Webber, Rupert Murdoch and others. Mark Alan Webber is an Australian Formula One driver. He has won the Races 9 times. Now Webber is the director of the Grand Prix Drivers’ Association, the Formula One drivers’ union. Keith Rupert Murdoch has been a managing director of News Corporation since 1953. He took an active interest in a lot of newspapers. Rupert made a family corporation in Australia and became one of the richest people in the world.
