Игры, применяемые на начальном этапе обучения

1. «Profession”

Данная игра разработана мной для 4 класса школы с углубленным изучением английского языка.

Цель игры: активизировать и закрепить употребление лексики по теме «Profession”, активизация вопросно-ответной деятельности по данной теме.

Карточки со словами, для игры по теме “Profession”:

A waiter: work, in a restaurant, carry food, from the kitchen, on the table, wash, dishes and plates, put the knives, forks, spoons and glasses, put flowers, to the tables

Раздать карточки двум командам (Team A и Team B). Задача команд правильно выложить рассказ в виде «солнышка» вокруг основного слова waiter (сделать коллаж на стене, прикрепляя с помощью «английских булавок» или раскладывая на столе), рассказать и задать друг другу вопросы. После выполнения задания Team A получает карточки с профессиями: a nurse (look after, sick, pets, people), a dentist (look, people’s, after, teeth), a traffic policeman (direct, help, the street, cars, buses and lorries, to cross, people). Team B – a farmer (look, goats, hens, after, sheep); a bus driver (drive, buses, take, children, to school, take, people, to the town); a teacher (teach, children, teach, three classes). Задача учащихся составить рассказ по данным профессиям и задать друг другу вопросы (например, a dentist – He looks after people’s teeth)

Команды оцениваются по следующим критериям: правильность, быстрота. Вводится так называемая система «штрафов», снижаются баллы за шумное обсуждение команды в процессе игры. Ниже даны два фотоснимка, в которых запечатлен момент данной игры.

 

2. К игровым урокам можно отнести «урок-спектакль», на котором ученики принимают участие в небольших инсценировках с использованием костюмов, декораций. Дети сами рисуют маски, декорации, готовят свои роли. Ученики с удовольствием перевоплощаются в образы сказочных героев, проявляя при этом свои актерские способности. Например, урок-спектакль “Malvina’s puppet school”.

Этот маленький спектакль можно разыграть в классе или на школьном вечере иностранного языка в начальных классах. К ребятам в гости приходят сказочные персонажи: красавица Мальвина, любопытный Буратино, печальный Пьеро, хитрая лиса – Алиса, злой Карабас и др. Это куклы-перчатки или яркие рисунки.

Сценарий:

На сцену или к доске выходит Мальвина и представляется.

Malvina: My name is Malvina. I am a teacher at the puppet school. I like reading and writing very much. We study Mathematics, Music, Drawing, P.T., Literature and Good manners. We usually have 3 lessons every day. (Обращаясь к ученикам) Who are my schoolboys and schoolgirls? Can you guess?

Children: (ученики хорошо называют) Buratino, Pyero, Artemon, Alice (Выходит и представляется Буратино).

Buratino: I am Buratino. My father’s name is Karlo. I love my father very much. He is old but he is very kind. I don’t like going to school. I don’t like counting and doing sums. I don’t like good manners but I enjoy going to the puppet theater. It is interesting to me.

(К ним присоединяются Пьеро и Артемон).

Pyero: My name is Pyero. I love Malvina very much. Malvina is a nice pretty girl. She is very kind and has good manners. I write poems. I enjoy going to Malvina’s school. I don’t like Karabas-Barabas. He is very angry. He doesn’t like children and puppets.

(Мальвина обращается к Пьеро, Буратино и Артемону).

Malvina: Sit down, please. Let’s start our lesson. You, Artemon, sit down, too. We are having Mathematics now.

(Мальвина показывает на доску, на которой написан пример).

Malvina: Look, there is a sum. Who can do it?

Artemon: I can do it. My name is Artemon. I like doing sums. I enjoy running, jumping and playing with Malvina.

Malvina: Artemon, come up to the board, take a piece of chalk and count.

(Артемон подходит к доске и решает).

Artemon: Five plus two is seven.

Malvina: You are right. You are a good dog. Sit down, please.

(К доске подбегают Карабас-Барабас, лиса Алиса и кот Базилио с возгласами).

Karabas-Barabas: Here you are!

Alice the Fox: What are you doing here?

Basilio the Cat: Are you playing?

Malvina: We are having Mathematics. Come in and sit down.

(Карабас-Барабас, кот и лиса садятся).

Malvina: I give you the second sum.

(Пишет на доске 7 – 2 = ?).

Karabas-Barabas: I can do it. It’s a piece of cake. Seven minus two is four.

Malvina: No, you are not right. And you, Basilio? Can you do the sum?

Basilio the Cat: No, I don’t like doing sums. But I can sing songs and tell fairy tales about the Wonderland.

Alice the Fox: I Know some proverbs. Can you finish them?

(Называет пословицы, а класс из продолжает) No living man…, A good beginning…, Better late…

(Карабас-Барабас, что-то вспоминая и обращаясь к ученикам).

Karabas-Barabas: By the way, what date is it today?

Children: Today is the 22-nd of February.

Karabas-Barabas: Oh! I have a birthday today!

Children: Congratulations! How old are you?

Karabas-Barabas: Thank you. I am 100.

(ученики поют песню “Happy birthday”).

 

3. Charades .

Игра хорошо известна учащимся в ее русском варианте. Класс делится на две команды. Каждая выбирает себе сложные по составу слова, например: football, arm-chair, afternoon, bathroom, blackboard, etc.

Команда, выбравшая, например, слово football, должна приготовить три коротких инсценировки: в первой надо употребить слово foot, во второй – ball, в третьей – целое слово football. Эти слова в соответствующих сценках должны быть важными в смысловом отношении и по возможности употреблены несколько раз. Просмотрев все три сценки, участники второй команды должны отгадать задуманное слово. Затем команды меняются ролями.

Вот как могут выглядеть эти сценки в исполнении играющих.

Scene One (the Key Word Foot)

AT THE DOCTOR’S

Doctor: Come in!

Pupil: How do you do, doctor!

Doctor: How do you do! What’s the trouble?

Pupil: Oh, something is wrong with my foot. I can’t go to the gym lesson.

Doctor: Let me examine it. Do you feel pain here?

Pupil (crying): Oh…

Doctor: Now close your eyes. (Without touching the foot he asks) Do you feel the pain here?

Pupil (suddenly): Oh…yes!

Doctor: My dear, your foot is all right. Something is wrong with your head.

 

Scene Two ( the Key Word Ball)

AT HOME

Mother: Nick, where is your ball?

Nick: Do you mean my ball? Why?

Mother: Kate wanted to play with it but couldn’t find it.

Nick: Did you look under my bed?

Mother: I did. I couldn’t find it anywhere.

Nick: Who can have taken it…

Mother: You don’t Know… Honest?

(The doorbell rings.)

Oh, Mrs. Smith, come in. What is it? Our ball…

Mrs. Smith: Yes, this is your ball. Your son kicked it into our garden and smashed my lovely roses.

Scene Three (the Key Word Football)

AT THE LIBRARY

Librarian: Kate, what book do you want?

Kate: I want books about football.

Librarian: Football? I never thought you were interested in football.

Kate: And you were right. I don’t like football at all. But we are going to have a contest “Who knows sports and games better”.
