«In the World of Professions»

Цель: совершенствовать компетенции разных видов речевой деятельности по теме «Профессии»; способствовать приобретению подростками знаний о профессиях, познакомить с разнообразным миром профессий, активизировать подростка на выбор профессии; повысить мотивацию к изучению английского языка.

Задачи урока:

Практические:

• совершенствовать речевые компетенции по теме «Профессии»;
• развивать навыки монологической и диалогической речи, аудирования, чтения.

Образовательные:

• активизировать творческие способности учащихся;
• расширить и систематизировать знания учащихся о профессиях.

Развивающие:

• развивать коммуникативные способности при работе в команде;
• развивать внимание, познавательные процессы, наглядно-образное мышление.

Воспитательные:

• воспитывать уважение к труду и к людям разных профессий;
• формировать познавательный интерес к различным профессиям;
• повышать престиж профессий

Тип урока:

По содержанию: урок-обобщение (урок применения полученных знаний).

По форме: урок-игра (соревнование команд).

Технологии: игровая, новая информационная (компьютерная), технология коммуникативного обучения иноязычной культуре.

Формы обучения: фронтальная, групповая, индивидуальная.

Частные методы и приемы: беседа, выбор правильного варианта ответа, подбор соответствий, наглядный (использование иллюстраций).

Оборудование: компьютер, экран, проектор, колонки, мультимедиа-презентация (подготовлена учителем), раздаточный материал- (конверты с заданиями для каждой команды.)

Ход урока

I. Подготовка учащихся к иноязычной деятельности.

1. Приветствие. /Greeting (1 мин.)

- Good morning! I am very glad to see you and I hope that you are ready for the lesson. How are you today? (Слайд 1)

- I hope that you are fine today .On your desks you can see pictures of different moods. You can choose one which really shows how you are felling at the moment. You can put a tick in front of it. (Отметить настроение) (Слайд 2)

2. Постановка цели и задач урока./Aim. (2 мин.)

- We have an interesting and unusual lesson today. Look at the screen and guess the theme of our lesson. So what is the theme of our lesson? (Слайд 3)

- You are right! The theme of our lesson is “Professions”. (Слайд 4) Today we will speak about different professions. We will play games, guess riddles and do some tasks. It will be a competition between 2 teams. I ‘ll give you some points. They will be your marks for work. And now let’s give names to your teams.

The first Team is «Teachers» The second Team is “Doctors”

3. Фонетическая зарядка./ Pronunciation drill.(2мин)

- We’ll start our competition with phonetic drill. Look at the screen and repeat these words. (Слайд 5)

(Участники команд повторяют за учителем название каждой профессии по очереди.)

4. Речевая зарядка. / Warming-up. (3 мин)

- Look at the screen! Let’s read these poems and complete them one by one.

(Слайд 6) (Ученики, читая стихи - договорки, должны сказать профессию на английском языке в конце договорки хором.)

Говорила сыну мама:

Дедушка твой фермер — farmer,

А тебе, сын, стать важнее

Инженером, engineer

Возражал ей папа: "Разве?

Много есть профессий разных.

Может больше будет прока

Если стать рабочим, worker

Бабушка, услышав, села:

"Моряком он будет, sailor.

Ну, а моряком не станет,

Значит, будет летчик, pilot.

Дед вмешался: "Вы не правы!

(Будет внук водитель, driver.

Ничего, что он недавно,

Стать хотел пожарным, fireman.

А захочет, так учтите,

Будет он учитель, teacher

II. Основная часть урока

1. Конкурс: «Do the crossword»(5 мин) (Слайд 7)

• Children! Look at the screen. Your first task is to solve a crossword puzzle. Участники команд разгадывают кроссворд на время, называют профессии на английском языке. (Nurse, mechanic, postman, greengrocer, vet, baker, waiter.)
• Nice job!

1. Конкурс: «Письмо»/ «Fill in the blanks» (am, is, are.)(4 мин) (Слайд 8)

-Now fill in the blanks. Be attentive! (Учитель раздает карточки каждому участнику 2х команд.)

- Good. That’s right!

1. Конкурс «Скороговорки»/ «Tongue twisters». (3 мин) (Слайд 9)

- There are a lot of tongue twisters where professions are mentioned. The next task is reading a tongue twister. You should read as much as quicker: Be attentive with sounds and intonation.

Doctor as the doctor being doctored wants to be doctored or

Does the doctor doing the doctoring

Doctor as he wants to doctor?

(Каждой команде дается скороговорка, и кто- то один из участников из каждой команды должен прочитать ее с правильной интонацией и как можно быстрее).

 

 

1. Физкультминутка /Rhysical warming-up. (2мин) (Слайд 10)

- I see that you are a bit tired. Let’s do some physical exercises in order to relax and you’ll be fresh again in a minute. Listen to the JOBS song and do the exercises. Then say which professions have they recognized.

(Под музыку аудиозаписи учащиеся делают упражнения для релаксации.)

5. Конкурс «Аудирование»/Listening (5 мин) (Слайд 11)

- Let’s continue our work. Look at the screen and read the words. Listen and choose the right answer. Then circle your answers in the papers, check each other’s papers and get your points. (Слайд 12)

6. Конкурс «Говорение»/ Speaking ( 5мин)

- We know people of different professions: a doctor, a teacher, a librarian, a businessman and others. These professions are very important because we can’t do without these people. They do different and useful work.

- Now I want you to make a presentation of your projects about jobs in your family. It’s a competition for captains. Two groups of pupils made projects in a form of Riddles. We’ll try to guess them. You are welcome! (Капитаны команд рассказывают о профессиях в своей семье, а участники должны отгадать их). (Слайд 13)

390. Hi! I want to tell you about profession of my dream. It is interesting and romantic. I will work in the sky in a big white plane. There will be many passengers. I will help people to travel and see new places. Do you guess?
390. I like children. I like to write on the blackboard. My dream is to work at school. I want to have my own classroom with desks, chairs, flowers/ posters. I like to read and tell stories. I want to wear elegant clothes and high heels.

7. Конкурс «Чтение»/ Reading ( 7мин) (Слайд 14)

• There are a lot of different professions in the world. The professions we have mentioned are quite usual. But there are some unusual jobs. Your task now is to read the text. After reading I want you to complete the task.

In England people can work as a Yeomen warder (popularly known as “a beefeater”).

The Beefeaters used to guard the Tower. The Tower of London is the main place of interest in England. Beefeaters have guarded the Tower since the reign of Henry VIII. To become a beefeater today you have to serve in the Army for at least 22 years.

Today beefeaters work mostly as guides. They show people around and tell stories about all the terrible things that have happened here. No one knows more about the history and secrets of the Tower than these famous men.

When they are guiding, they wear dark blue uniforms. On ceremonial occasions they wear red and gold tunics designed for them during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I.

- Now it is the time to show your mood at the end of the lesson. (Слайд 16) I like your work at the lesson. And did you like the lesson? What was the most interesting\ boring for you?

-Open your day books and write down the home task. Write 5-6 sentences about professions in your family. Thank you! Good bye! (Слайд 18)
